Established in 2005, the Affton Education Foundation was formed to raise funds for projects beyond the scope or capabilities of the district. Recognizing the national movement for excellence in education, we join foundations in other progressive communities in establishing a channel for private funds to enrich public educations.

After in-depth discussions with teachers, administrators, the Board of Education, and students, the Affton Education Foundation established two early priorities:

1. Teacher grants to support extraordinary efforts in the classroom
2. College scholarships, funded by an endowment, for Affton students

Our goal is to preserve the high educational standards of the district by providing additional classroom resources and to inspire and enable students to attend their first-choice colleges.
